The Haymarket, Basingstoke - 01/04/06
Report by Liz Egan
Started off in the rehearsal room, where we made contact with a young girl called Leyla (sp) who was killed by her father. We were using a table on wheels for communicating, and at first it wouldn't move with all of us on there, so just the females tried it and started rolling all over the room. Apparently the little girl didnt like men so wouldn't communicate with them. Then we used a glass on the table and got through to her father as well.
Whilst we were up there we all heard sounds of footsteps and movement outside the door and hallway, like someone walking up the stairs and someone about to come in - upon investigating there was no one around! Apparently it was Margaret, Leyla's aunt!!
In the auditorium I didn't experience as much, but others heard whispers, bangs, lights and shadows.
Haymakers Suite was a definite highlight! Got through to Jack Ellis who had died in the 1500's. He was a great character and communicated to us with the glass. Seemed to take a shine to me as apparently I reminded him of his daughter! Kept pushing the glass right over to me and when I spoke to him the EMF reader went up to 4 !!! Felt a bit emotional at the end.
Also heard a baby noise just outside the room.
Then we went to the upper bar area. Didnt expect anything of this room as it looked so new, but the spirits definitely wanted to communicate that night LOL. Whilst going round with the EMF reader it went up to 4 at the top of the stairs!
Got through to two young boys called Billie and Alan. We were using the planchette and they immediately told us they were there - planchette was moving all over the place. Apparently they had died of the sleeping sickness disease. One of the team asked Billie to draw a picture of his face and the planchette immediately started doing something, after a minute it had stopped and when we took it off the paper there was an oval face with lots of curly hair on top! Was absolutely amazing - we've got it on film too!
We then heard running footsteps next to us.
Think the most emotional thing for me was my mum coming through twice by two different mediums that night.
So in all! Was an excellent and very eventful evening
